Hi, I'm Luca
I'm a PhD Student in Informatics at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and IDSIA (USI-SUPSI). My research primarily focuses on deep learning for time series forecasting, and on the theoretical and empirical study of time series foundation models and global-local time series models. I am broadly interested in deep learning for temporal and spatio-temporal data, and how models can generalize across diverse tasks while retaining the efficiency of specialized models.
Research Focus Areas
Time Series Analysis
Understanding the principles behind effective deep learning methodologies for time series forecasting, to develop efficient architectures for forecasting complex signals across domains.
Spatiotemporal Data
Modeling relationships across time series by means of structured representations, to enhance forecasting performance and efficiency in the context of complex systems.
